We recommend that all VELUX roof windows are serviced at least every 2 years and preferably annually.

Servicing will increase the lifespan of your window and ensure the window and flashing remain watertight.

As a bonus, we will also clean the glazing and the frame. Providing your window is serviced regularly you can take advantage of our fixed price of £40 + VAT per window.

There are several different styles to choose from depending on whether you require the blind to provide privacy, reduce glare from sunlight or provide complete blackout.

As the name suggests, the Anti-heat blinds and shutters are the best way to protect your room from overheating caused by the sun.

There are 3 versions to choose from and all bar one come as solar or electrically operated.

Locks & opening restrictors for pitched roof windows

If you feel like you need extra security or you need an opening restrictor give us a call.

Reglazing or resealing of glazing

If you find a crack has appeared in your glazing or the unlikely scenario of spontaneous breakage, please contact VELUX directly as this is likely to be a product guarantee issue.

Roof windows have specific glazing requirements so we only use genuine VELUX glazing. If you are aiming to improve the energy efficiency of your home, this may be a good opportunity to upgrade to a triple-glazed unit.

Over time the glazing sealant on your roof window may start to perish and although this is unlikely to happen within the first 20 years, it very much depends on the aspect the window is facing and even more importantly, the pitch of the roof. In this scenario, we can reseal the glazing using VELUX's proprietary butyl glazing kits.
